Deposits and withdrawals at a casino with no Spanish licence: euros to crypto, networks and fees
The money
The cashier of almost every casino with no Spanish licence works in cryptocurrency. That adds two steps a card casino does not have: turning euros into crypto and picking a network. Here is the whole road, with the minimums Vave publishes, what each step costs and what holds a withdrawal up.
Deposits and withdrawals at a casino with no Spanish licence almost always run on cryptocurrency. You do not need to know much about crypto to do it properly, but you do need three decisions: which coin, which network, and how much to send the first time. Everything else is following the casino cashier. The examples on this page come from Vave, the only casino on our list of casinos with no Spanish licence where we have deposited and withdrawn our own money.
Step 1: from euros to crypto
There are three roads, and they differ in cost and in convenience:
- An exchange with a SEPA transfer. You open an account at an exchange, pay euros in by transfer and buy USDT, BTC or ETH. Usually the cheapest route. The exchange will ask you to verify your identity when you open the account.
- Buying with a card at the exchange or in your wallet. Faster, at a higher fee.
- Buying with a card inside the casino cashier. Vave offers this through an outside provider: you pay by card and the crypto arrives in your balance. It is the most convenient and normally the most expensive.
If you think in euros, the simplest choice is USDT: it is worth a dollar, it does not rise or fall while you play, and most bonuses are expressed in USDT.
Step 2: pick the network
USDT, and other coins, live on several networks at once. The casino cashier tells you which ones it accepts, underneath the deposit address. The three most common:
| Network | Name in the cashier | Cost of a transfer | Minimum at Vave |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tron | TRC-20 | Pennies, or a little more | 5 USDT |
| Solana | SOL / SPL | Pennies | 3 USDT |
| Ethereum | ERC-20 | Higher, and it moves with the hour | 19.99 USDT |
The minimums come from the table in Vave's help centre, dated 18 September 2023; the cashier may show more recent figures. For ETH the published minimum is 0.0109934 ETH, and the deposit is credited after 2 network confirmations.
The rule that avoids nearly every problem: the network in your wallet has to be the one the cashier names. A Tron address begins with T; an Ethereum one with 0x. If the address and the network do not fit each other, stop and check before you send.
Step 3: make the first deposit small
- In the cashier, pick the coin and the network.
- Copy the address with the button, never by hand.
- In your wallet, pick the same network and paste the address. Check the first four and last four characters.
- Enter an amount a little above the minimum, remembering that the network fee is paid separately.
- Send, and wait for the confirmations.
If it arrives, the road works and you can send what you had decided to play with. If it does not, you have lost little and you have a simple case for support.
Withdrawing: the road back
To withdraw, you supply the address: your wallet's, or your account at the exchange, in the coin and network you choose in the cashier. Three habits save trouble:
- Withdraw over the same network you deposited with, and check that your wallet or exchange accepts that network for that coin.
- Read the “you will receive” figure before you confirm. Some casinos take the network fee out of the amount.
- Keep the transaction ID until the money is in your wallet.
What holds a withdrawal up
Almost everything that delays a payout is written in the terms before you ever deposit. In Vave's, section 8 gathers it:
- Clause 8.7: the casino may ask for documents before any payout, and allows 14 days to send them. In our two withdrawals it did not ask.
- Clause 8.8: a win of 50,000 USDT or more may be paid in instalments over 30 days.
- Clause 8.11: the deposit has to be wagered three times before it can be withdrawn, bonus or no bonus.
On top of that sits the bonus: while a bonus is live, the withdrawal waits for the wagering, or it cancels the bonus and whatever was won with it. We work through it with numbers in bonuses and wagering. Other casinos on the list have similar rules with different figures: Bitcasino.io, for instance, writes into its terms that it may ask for documents from 2,500 up.
What it costs, step by step
| Step | Who charges | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Paying euros in | The exchange | A SEPA transfer is usually free or nearly |
| Buying crypto | The exchange | Look at the fee and at the spread |
| Buying with a card | The provider | The dearest route; keep it for small amounts |
| Sending to the casino | The network | Tron and Solana, pennies; Ethereum, more |
| Withdrawing from the casino | The network, sometimes off the amount | Read “you will receive” |
| Selling, and out to your bank | The exchange | Group your withdrawals to pay fewer times |
Back into euros
To get back to euros, send the crypto to your exchange account, sell it and withdraw to your bank. If you play in USDT, the value will not have moved on the way; if you play in BTC or ETH, it will, in both directions. One more reason to play in a stablecoin if you think in euros.
And one thought before we finish: a fast deposit is convenient, and that is exactly why it is worth fixing beforehand how much you are going to play with. The account's deposit limits, and how to turn them on, are in safer play. And before you deposit at a new casino, check its licence in the register: the procedure is in how to check a casino licence.
